Mr. James Denham holds a bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin. After receiving this degree, Mr. Denham worked as a Computer Access Specialist for the Cincinnati Association for the Blind (CAB). In this position, he evaluated and trained visually impaired clients on a variety of adaptive and mainstream technology. In this roll, Mr. Denham also provided training to CAB orientation and mobility staff on wayfinding technology that would benefit the clients they served.
Mr. Denham currently works as a National Program Associate for the American Foundation for the Blind's (AFB) National Technology Program. The responsibilities of this position include performing product accessibility testing, providing instruction to professionals serving the visually impaired on access technology, and conducting product reviews for AFB's bimonthly technology publication, "Access World." As part of these responsibilities, he is constantly evaluating and assessing cutting edge technology such as Global Positioning Systems (GPS). Mr. Denham has a wide array of knowledge on a variety of adaptive and mainstream hardware and software. This, combined with his technically savvy work ethic, makes him a strong professional in the fields of adaptive and information systems technology.
